POKOTABI / Sushi Ichi
すしいち
Explore the ways to dine at Sushi Ichi, from a twelve-piece nigiri lunch and meals served with chawanmushi to courses featuring sashimi, grilled fish and fried dishes. The menu also includes rolls and small plates.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
For a satisfying sushi lunch, the twelve-piece nigiri assortment is one option. Diners have mentioned enjoying a range of toppings in one sitting, including tuna, salmon, prawn, squid, egg, minced tuna with spring onion and horse mackerel. It suits a day when you want to sample a little of several kinds. One diner described the tuna as moist and full of flavour, and the salmon as rich and buttery. A gunkan topped with minced tuna and spring onion, followed by horse mackerel tataki with its garnishes, brings some variety; finishing with egg makes for a pleasing progression.
One visitor reported having lunch with chawanmushi and a small side dish for less than 1,500 yen. The lunch menu is worth considering if you want a meal that includes more than sushi. In the evening, you can combine sushi with fish dishes and small plates. A diner who tried a course with an all-you-can-drink option for 5,500 yen noted that it included sashimi, grilled fish, fried dishes, omelette and sushi. Another course-goer recalled the fish’s gentle sweetness and the tuna spare ribs in particular.
Individual nigiri options include salmon for 250 yen, sea bream for 300 yen and medium-fatty tuna for 450 yen. Rolls such as tekka maki and toro-taku are also available, so you can add more of your preferred toppings as you go. The menu lists dishes beyond sushi, including simmered mackerel, the fish of the day grilled, and deep-fried pufferfish. Diners have mentioned stopping in alone for lunch or visiting solo after work. The restaurant offers both dine-in service and takeaway.
